Greg Zilboorg is a trumpet player and composer who draws on his experience in jazz, classical, electronic, and experimental music to create lush harmonies and engaging textures with an alive, unpredictable yet organic quality.
Greg began his journey in music as a cornet player with the school band where he grew up in northern Vermont. He later studied at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and California Institute of the Arts, where he focused on jazz, improvisation, and composition. He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he teaches, performs, and does session work, primarily on the trumpet.
He has performed and recorded with artists including Linda Perry, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Lauren Baba. He has released five solo records, including his most recent Electric Pastoral.
